Valentino Beauty's Packaging Design Dazzles at Immersive NYC Pop-Up

Earlier this month, Flatiron Plaza in New York City hosted the Spike Valentino Pop-Up, an immersive experience to promote the launch of the Spike Valentino Beauty's Buttery Matte Lipsticks. While experiential marketing campaigns often use packaging to drive engagement through sampling or personalization, Valentino Beauty's pop-up took it a step further by making their iconic packaging the centerpiece of the event.

As shown above, the pop-up’s main attraction was the striking replicas of Valentino’s signature gold lipstick packaging, towering nearly 20 feet tall. Alongside these oversized lipsticks, Valentino Beauty featured trial, sampling, and food stations, all designed as large-scale replicas of the lipstick caps.

This pop-up stood out to us as a unique blend of brand strategy and packaging design. By using the beauty and scale of their packaging, Valentino stood out in New York’s bustling landscape, capturing attention and inviting potential customers to explore the pop-up. The supersized packaging also provided a photo-worthy backdrop, driving social media virality and expanding digital reach for Valentino Beauty.
